My current views on WWE Network
So yesterday The WWE Network officially dropped. 9 am eastern time. I woke up at 9:05 am Eastern Time Monday in hopes of making a account and logging on. That was not the case. The WWE website was experiencing high volumes of traffic as accepted. I play a lot of online games and I survived the GTA Online launch so I mean I was pretty used to this. 4 hours later I finally got to mark an account and I was in. It was really clean looking and organize. From WWE pay Per views from Wrestlemaina 1 to TLC 2013, WCW PPVs and ECW PPVS from the very first ones to the time both company’s shut their doors. I was excited to get to view all this content. One problem however, I couldn’t. The on demand would either freeze or not load. I have not yet watched a on demand product in full. As of yesterday and today 1pm February 25.
When a new product is launched and it involves anything streaming online it’s always going to be a rough week, but I feel WWE was not prepared for this launch. Why wasn’t there a pre sign up for the Network. Why is a billion dollar company having all of these problems? Why wasn’t THE BEST hired to make this experience much better. They can afford it right?
As of right now I give WWE Network a C+
It’s no excuse for WWE not to be prepared for this launch. I mean it was FIRST announced maybe 2 or 3 years ago. Just think about being a student and giving a whole 3 months to turn a project in and it being incomplete. As far as the live part of WWE Network that sometimes works. I was watching Old School Raw this morning and it cut out a few times. The look of the network on my iPad and iPhone looks great and it’s organize fine. As far as it on my Xbox 360 I couldn’t tell you because for some reason it says my email and password is wrong and not working. I use twitter and it turns out people are having the same issues I’m having.
This isn’t a post knocking the WWE Network and I can’t wait for this to be up and running. But I’ve already been charged the 10 dollars and I haven’t gotten a chance to use the service I was promised and it ticks me off a little bit.
If you’re having any issues with The Network let me know repost this and add anything you would like too!!!
Know what would be cool?
If I could get into the WWE Network. How can a billion dollar company not have enough power to expect this much website usage when something like this is launched?
